Presidents Award (Crisil) - 2026

Recognition feels good.

But it's not why the work got done.

Last week, my team received the ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ'๐ฌ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ at Crisil's D&A Town Hall. The only team in our vertical.

The project? A regulatory-driven digital transformation with a non-negotiable deadline and a scope that shifted mid-flight.

Most teams would have escalated for timeline extensions. Pointed to scope creep. Built a case for "not possible."

Mine didn't.

After 28 years in digital transformation, I've learned this:

High-performing teams aren't built in the hiring process.

They're forged in the toughest project momentsโ€”when quitting feels easier than continuing.

๐‘ป๐’‰๐’Š๐’” ๐’‚๐’˜๐’‚๐’“๐’… ๐’Š๐’” ๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’Š๐’“๐’”. They burned the midnight oil, debugged, restrategized & delivered. Awards follow outcomes. Not, intentions.

Here are 5 things that made the difference when scope changed and deadlines didn't:

When the regulatory timeline tightened, the team didn't ask "why us?" They asked "what's next?"

Every blocker was surfaced early. No one waited for the weekly status call to raise red flags.

Mumbai & Pune stakeholders: everyone moved as one unit. No silos & no finger-pointing; just churning sprint after sprint.

In BFSI, you can't choose between fast and flawless. Regulatory projects demand both; the team delivered both.

When scope changed in early 2026, the team didn't clock out. They stayed, they solved, they shipped.

Thanks to the Senior Management for believing in the team.

Blessed to have such team members working alongside me in my career, once again!!!!

And yes, I am sure this is going to be the most memorable project in everyone's career.

What's one non-negotiable trait you look for in high-stakes project teams?
